ALICIA BROWN

FOUNDER & EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Alicia loves to watch women discover their value to God and to their community. She earned a Masters in Counseling from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and a B.S. in Psychology from Gardener- Webb University. Before founding and developing The Oaks, Alicia worked as a high school counselor for 13 years and in private practice as a licensed clinical mental health counselor for 8 years. She has a passion for adventure-based counseling and was a facilitator with UNCG’s Teamquest department, an outdoor experiential learning campus. Alicia enjoys anything outside with friends and family, traveling, Bible studies, roller coasters, bungee jumping, reading and doing life with her church community. She and her husband, Eric, have two children, Tyler and Kailey.
