our why

We believe that God chooses to use His people to help others in their journey and consider it an honor to join with Him in the work.

People are priceless. Each person possesses incredible value. Our identity- who we are and why we have value can only be solidly found in God’s view of how the people he created are priceless to Him. This belief must be a personal choice for each person, and God gives us the freedom to make that choice when we are ready. He uses a lifetime to grow in relationship with Him. 

If those we serve  are not ready to believe the Christian view of identity, they can still learn to believe that being alive is a precious gift and that each human being  has the chance to add value by loving others and using their gifts to positively affect others.  In contrast, they may also discover they hold the power to take away value from themselves and others.

The Spirit of the Sovereign LORD is on me, because the LORD has anointed me to proclaim

good news to the poor.

He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted,

to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners,

to proclaim the year of the LORD’s favor and the day of vengeance of our God,

to comfort all who mourn, and provide

for those who grieve in Zion—

to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning,

and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair.

They will be called Oaks of Righteousness,

a planting of the LORD for the display of His splendor.
